Tether, the leading stablecoin issuer, has announced a groundbreaking partnership with Business & Technology University (BTU) in Georgia to advance blockchain and cryptocurrency education in the region. The collaboration aims to empower students with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in the emerging digital economy.
As part of the memorandum of understanding (MoU), Tether will actively participate in BTU’s educational programs focused on blockchain, cryptocurrency, and peer-to-peer technologies. Together, they will develop comprehensive courses covering essential topics such as stablecoins, bitcoin, and other cutting-edge technologies that foster financial freedom and freedom of speech.

This pioneering initiative will be conducted in collaboration with the Academy of Digital Industry, a prominent local digital education platform, and Terminal, Georgia’s largest and dynamic co-working space. The program will span a month and feature a series of eight lectures delivered by esteemed blockchain experts, including guest speakers from the international blockchain community. While the introductory lectures will be conducted in English, the majority of the course will be taught in Georgian, providing students with immersive learning experiences.

Furthermore, the collaboration includes valuable internship opportunities for students within blockchain-focused companies, facilitating hands-on industry exposure and practical skill development.

Expressing enthusiasm for the partnership, Paolo Ardoino, the Chief Technology Officer of Tether, stated, “We are thrilled to collaborate with BTU in nurturing the next generation of blockchain experts. Tether is dedicated to supporting education and academia, and our collaboration with BTU presents a remarkable opportunity to engage students in the region. This is only the beginning of our initiatives in Georgia, and we eagerly anticipate unveiling more exciting ventures in the near future.”

Professor Nino Enukidze, the Rector of BTU, shared her perspective, saying, “Our partnership with Tether marks a significant milestone in establishing a thriving blockchain education ecosystem in Georgia. We believe that this collaboration will create invaluable opportunities for our students to learn directly from industry experts and acquire practical skills that will enable them to contribute to the development of the digital economy.”
