1. Immersion: The game allows players to physically interact with their surroundings using their hands—utilizing a variety of weapons, unlocking rooms and containers to find necessary items, and engaging with tools and levers. 
2. Arsenal: Players have access to a broad range of weaponry, from handguns to grenade launchers, with the option to customize these arms with attachments like scopes and silencers.
3. Puzzles: Featuring an array of puzzles that require solving to progress, the game challenges players to think critically, making use of the virtual environment's physics.

Special praise goes to the graphics. Alyx is arguably one of the most visually stunning VR games currently available, with City 17 rendered in lifelike detail. 

While it retains the classic industrial aesthetic of the Half-Life series, the virtual reality rendition of the alien invaders provides a more compelling presence. The city's monstrous inhabitants—ranging from toxic spores to mutants and viscous slimes—are depicted in a way that's both horrifying and captivating. Descending into the sewers brings an intense sense of immersion.

The original musical score also adds to the tension. 

The game excels in auditory experience as well, featuring a high-quality soundscape where every detail, from the sound of breathing to the crunch of glass underfoot, contributes to a deeply engaging environment. Each of the game's 11 chapters boasts a unique soundtrack, enhancing the overall atmosphere.

Our take: Alyx is a must-experience title for VR aficionados, though its intensity might overwhelm newcomers unfamiliar with the Half-Life 2 narrative. The possibility of enhancing the experience with tactile feedback devices, like Fluid Reality, suggests an even more immersive potential that could make Half-Life VR irresistibly engaging.

Resident Evil 4 VR breathes new life into the 2005 survival horror classic. Players step into the shoes of Leon Kennedy, tasked with the high-stakes mission of rescuing the U.S. president's daughter, Ashley, from the sinister cult leader Osmund Saddler.

RE4 transitions smoothly to VR, preserving the essence of the original game's gameplay while introducing immersive VR mechanics. Players can interact more directly with the game world—aiming and firing weapons with their hands and utilizing environmental elements strategically (like teleporting, jumping, crouching, and dodging).

A standout feature of the game is its abundant and sometimes hidden enemies. While zombies and monsters are straightforward targets, it's more challenging to identify cult-recruited assassins among seemingly innocuous villagers. The game demands sharp observation and logical reasoning to navigate through its quests and survive the overwhelming enemy forces. The game's detailed environments often take a backseat to the action, given the relentless pace of encounters.

RE4 has been recognized for its excellence, becoming a finalist for the DICE Awards 2022 Game of the Year and winning the VR Game of the Year in 2023.

However, it's noted that some quest lines are not yet available in the VR adaptation, though a free demo version offers a taste of the action.
