The decentralized exchange landscape is set for a major upgrade with the official announcement of PancakeSwap V4. This latest version of the protocol introduces a series of enhancements, drawing inspiration from the strides made by Uniswap V4.

Decentralized exchange PancakeSwap has published a discussion proposal to reduce the CAKE maximum token supply from 750 mln to 450 mln.

Starting from August 9, PancakeSwap will be distributing a portion of its trading-fee revenue to stakers of CAKE token. Fixed-term CAKE stakers will receive 5% of the trading-fee revenue from all PancakeSwap v3 pairs, which includes the fee tiers of 0.01% and 0.05%. These fee tiers cover 80-90% of PancakeSwap v3 trading volumes.
